Open list

To open a password list, select option Open list from the File menu. In the dialog that pops up you can select which password file you wish to open from which storage device:

Local system tab

If you have stored the password file to your local system, select the Local system tab and click the Browse button. Select the corresponding psw file and click Open. The path of the file is displayed in the dialog box. Click OK to go to the dialog where you enter the List Access Key.

 

USB storage device tab

If you have stored the password file to an USB flash drive, select the USB storage device tab and click the Browse button. Select the corresponding psw file and click Open. The path of the file is displayed in the dialog box. Click OK to go to the dialog where you enter the List Access Key.

 

Internet server tab

Using this function you can open your password list online. Proceed as follows:

  1. Enter the name of the file in the File Name field.

  2. Select option Read-Only if you wish to open the file write protected.

  3. Select the corresponding server profile.

  4. Click OK to open the file.

  5. When you haven't opened the file write protected, you can save all your changes by clicking Save list in Password Depot.

 

To create a new server profile, do as follows:

  1. Click the Add button.

  2. Make the following settings in the Internet Server Profile dialog:
    Protocol: You can select between FTP and HTTP.
    Host: Enter the host, for example ftp.myserver.com or www.myserver.com
    Port: Auto is selected as default to automatically select the appropriate port.
    Path: Enter the entire path.
    User name: Enter the user name. This entry is required for FTP servers.
    Password: Enter the password. This entry is required for FTP servers.

  3. Click OK to confirm the settings.

 

Password Depot Server tab

If you are using the integrated server module and you have stored the password file to the server, select the Password Depot Server tab. Enter the server details and click Login. In the Available files list there are displayed all the existing files. It is also displayed if the file is locked, and if so, by which user it is locked. Select the corresponding file and select if you wish to open it as read-only. To do so activate or deactivate option Read-only.

NOTE: On the Password Depot Server tab you can only open files for which you have the necessary access rights. Your system or network administrator assigns the access rights. If you do not open a file in read-only mode, other users having the necessary access rights can only open this file in read-only mode.
