The Search function can be found in the Password menu. This function allows you to search for a password or type of password in your list.
The Search function displays the Find Password dialog box. Here you can personalize your search by specifying any known information about the password or type of password that you are looking for.
Enter information about the Description, User name, URL, Creation date, Expiry date and Importance or Type of the password that you are looking for.
If you do not know anything about a certain search criterion, leave that field empty and the search algorithm will not take it into consideration.
If you know only partial information about a search criterion, enter the information you know and the search algorithm will return all possible matches.
After you have entered all the information you know, click the Find password button to get your search results. If you want to start a new search, click the Clear all fields button. All fields will be cleared, allowing you to start over again.
If you right-click on a password in the search result list, a small pop-up menu will be displayed. This menu contains functions referring to the selected password, such as: Modify password, Properties, Copy to clipboard functions and Open URL.
After you have found the password you have been searching for in the search result list, double-click it. Now Password Depot closes the Find Password dialog box and takes you to your selected password.
